5 reasons why you need to visit Las Vegas

It has been some months since I won the award of Best Belgian Travel Lifestyle Blog. The price of winning this award was pretty epic, a trip for two to Las Vegas! We decided to plan this trip around Jeroen his birthday in October, combining it with Los Angeles. Las Vegas was always on my list so I was thrilled to visit the city and see what all the fuzz is about. In this blogpost I’ll give you five reasons why you need to visit Las Vegas!

Cross it off your bucket list

Las Vegas is one of the places you have to visit at least once in a lifetime. I’m so happy I got the chance to experience Vegas! The casinos, the insane hotels, the ‘Eiffel Tower’ and ‘Venice’, everything is so over the top, you will not believe it until you see it yourself.

Ain’t no party like a party in Vegas

If you’re a party animal, you will definitely go wild in Vegas. It’s socially accepted to be tipsy around noon and walk with drinks in your hand in public. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right?! When we were in Vegas the weather was a bit more chilly, but normally there are a lot of amazing pool parties and in the evening you can find big names in the club. French Montana and Drake were performing during the Saturday of our trip. Perfect to plan your Vegas trip around a performance of your favorite rapper that you don’t get to see that easily in Europe.

In Vegas you can gamble 24/7. The options are endless. It’s pretty obvious you can’t leave Las Vegas without playing!

You’ll never be bored in Vegas

There is so much to do in Vegas regarding entertainment. Of course you can get drunk, gamble and party in Vegas but Vegas has so much more to offer than just that! There are tons of shows to watch such as Cirque Du Soleil, JLO, Magic Mike, David Copperfield and so much more. We decided to go for a show of Cirque Du Soleil because we had never done one of these before and we absolutely loved it. The Grand Canyon is nearby so you can do an excursion or heli ride. Next to that you can also do some shopping, zip lining or if you have a hangover, why not just chill at the pool of your hotel.

Charming Donwtown Las Vegas

The strip is fun, but if you go to Las Vegas, you also have to see where everything began. The gambling district first started at downtown Las Vegas. Be sure to visit Fremont street to experience the atmosphere of the live performers, the original casinos and just a more authentic Las Vegas. Be sure to visit Fremont street in the evening to see the Viva Vision Light Show, the largest video screen in the world!
